    A third antenna can be installed to extend the range of the active zone. The in- stallation must be done by technicians who are trained or certified by Directed dealers (optional parts and extra labor required). Refer to your authorized dealer for more information.

    Although the PKE system allows for automatic locking and unlocking of the ve- hicle when you approach and leave the active zone, it also offers the flexibility of manually locking and unlocking doors with the remote. © 2012 Directed. All rights reserved.

  • Page 8: Enabling/Disabling Valet Mode

    LED flashes red to confirm the system has exited valet mode. The key fob LED will flash to indicate whether you are in the active zone or not. © 2012 Directed. All rights reserved.

    The PKE system will exit sleep mode and will return to normal operation when a door is opened. Note : This feature is automatically enabled/disabled every time vehicle is in use. It does not affect the user's experience. © 2012 Directed. All rights reserved.

    Smartlock feature will be disabled. It is important to note that the user can always lock the doors immediately at any moment by quickly press- ing and releasing the key fob button (See "Manual unlocking and locking of the vehicle" on page 7). © 2012 Directed. All rights reserved.
  • Page 11 The following will cancel the SmartLock feature: - Pre-programmed timer has elapsed. - Any manual Lock/Unlock command is sent using the key fob. - A door is closed/opened; however, the trunk does not impact the SmartLock feature. © 2012 Directed. All rights reserved.

    LED: A light used to indicate the status of your system. It is located on your remote. PKE: Passive Keyless Entry. Starter Kill: An interrupt controlled by the PKE system which prevents the vehicle’s starter from cranking whenever the system is locked. © 2012 Directed. All rights reserved.
