Weighing equipment (Optional equipment)
Calibrating the weighing equipment
The "Zero calibration" function is used to increase the accuracy of the
weighing equipment. This should be done once a month. See the section
headed "Zero calibration" under "Machine operation".
If a new scale unit is installed, it must be calibrated as described in the
section "Calibrate the scale" under "Machine operation".
Checking accuracy of weighing equipment display
Twice a year you need to check that the weighing equipment is displaying
the accurate weight, with the aid of an object of known weight. If the weig-
hing equipment does not show the real weight of this object, you will need
to follow the "Zero calibration" procedure, a function in the Clarus softwa-
re. Follow the instructions under "Zero calibration" in the "Machine opera-
tion" section of the manual. If this is unsuccessful, the weighing equipment
will have to be recalibrated using the "Calibrate the scale" function, as
described under "Machine operation".
If the weighing equipment has a fault
Follow the troubleshooting procedure under the heading "Fault-finding,
weighing equipment".
If you cannot rectify the problem with the help of that section, make a note
of the weighing equipment version number before you contact the service
department.
To find the weighing equipment version number, access the service pro-
gram, select "Scale adjustments", then "Read version number".
