Along the way, at least one intermediate node is typically encountered Quadro’s IP Routing service allows to route IP packets from one destination to another (or to a specified router) through Quadro.

The lower the number, the sooner the routing rule takes effect.

    QuadroE1/T1 Manual II: Administrator's Guide Administrator's Graphical User Interface Configuration Management The Configuration Management supports the user in managing the configuration settings. The configuration settings may be backed up, saved to the local PC memory and uploaded back to the Quadro board, as well as renamed or deleted.

By restoring the default configuration you will replace your current one and reboot the device. You will not be automatically redirected to the GUI start page. After the successful reboot you need to enter the management and login again to access the Quadro configuration.

    QuadroE1/T1 Manual II: Administrator's Guide Administrator's Graphical User Interface Events The Events page consists of two tables and displays all system events that have occurred in one table and event settings in the other. The System Events page may be accessed with Events link from the main menu. It lists information about system events that have occurred on Quadro.

The page Event Settings lists all possible events on the Quadro and allows controlling the way of notification (action), if one of those events takes place.

The settings may be updated through the international time and date servers. Time is used to set the local time (hour, minute).

    Firmware Update This window allows to update the software of Quadro by installing new firmware called image. If the user is registered at Epygi as a customer, he will get newsletters as soon as a new firmware will be available and he will be able to download it from the Epygi Technical Support WEB page.

    The field below will display the diagnostics results and the connectivity conditions. System should be reconfigured if problems occur during the diagnostics. The Download system logs button is used to download all logs to the local PC as a *.tar archive file. Logs can be used by Epygi Technical Support Office to determine the problem occurred on your Quadro.

Quadro may act as a user or as network. If connected to a private PBX, the Quadro should be configured in the network mode. If an E1/T1 trunk from the CO is connected to the Quadro, it should be configured as a user.

    QuadroE1/T1 Manual II: Administrator's Guide Appendix: Glossary Appendix: Glossary Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) - is a method for moving data over regular phone lines. An ADSL circuit is much faster than a regular phone connection, and the wires coming into the subscriber's premises are the same (copper) wires used for regular phone service. An ADSL circuit must be configured to connect two specific locations, similar to a leased line.

Downstream is another term for the transmission coming toward you. Dual-Tone Multifrequency (DTMF) - a method of signaling consisting of a push-button or touch tone dial that sends out a sound consisting of two discrete tones that are picked up and interpreted by telephone switches (either PBXs or central offices).
