    Please Note: The QuadroISDN is shipped with one straight RJ-45 CAT 5 cable. If the LAN connector of the QuadroISDN is to be connected to a hub or switch, a crossover cable may be required (see Appendix: Pin Assignment of ISDN, too).

    The NT/TE switches are used to control the QuadroISDN device on the S/T Bus. If the QuadroISDN is connected to the beginning or end of the S/T Bus or if there is only one ISDN unit connected to the S/T Bus, then this switch should be toggled to the NT (Network Terminator) position.

    LED Indication during a firmware update A firmware update is indicated by the red (Fault) and yellow (Info) LEDs. Both will blink si- multaneously for about two minutes while the firmware is being updated. The QuadroISDN will then reboot automatically showing the boot LED sequence.

    Click on the Next button to get to the System Configuration page. System Configuration Enter into the Host Name field a unique name for the QuadroISDN. This is useful when many Quadro’s are part of a network and one administrator has remote access to all of them.

    If the DHCP server is enabled, the QuadroISDN will assign dynamic IP addresses to the Admin PC connected to its LAN port. If you didn’t change the default IP address of the QuadroISDN, you may also leave the de- fault values for IP Address Range. Make sure your connected Admin PC belongs to the same network as the LAN port of your QuadroISDN.

    Configuring the ISDN Settings The QuadroISDN can be connected to a PBX or to the PSTN via ISDN trunks. The QuadroISDN may be connected to act as a User (if connected to PSTN) or as a Network (if connected to PBX).

    To make sure, that the DHCP Server of the Quadro IP PBX assigned a valid IP address to the QuadroISDN, go to the LAN Services Menu of the Quadro IP PBX, click on DHCP Set- tings for the LAN Interface and select View DHCP Leases. The table on the opened page should list the IP address and other details of QuadroISDN.
