Procedure

1 Remove the eight screws (M2x3) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2 Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the right corner of the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3 Pry the base cover starting from the right side of palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4 Pry the base cover from the bottom left corner of the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
5 Pry the base cover from the left side of the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
