1 Remove the base cover.
2 Remove the I/O-board interposers.
Procedure
1 Using a plastic scribe, push the tab and disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
2 Remove the eight screws (M2x5) that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3 Lift the battery off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4 Turn the computer over, open the display, and press the power button for about 5 seconds to ground the computer.
