v) Play a melody in the right hand range of the keyboard.
→ Chords will be automatically assigned to the melody, and will be played as
accompaniment and bass.
→ The chords assigned by the interactive composition function will be shown at
the right of the tempo in the display.
When Backing Sequence IC is used, playing very quick notes may cause the
C-900 to think that these notes were pressed accidentally, which will result in the
melody not being analyzed correctly.
vi) When you finish playing, press the START/STOP key once again.
→ The following display will appear.

vii) If you wish to listen to your performance with the assigned chords, press RESET/
YES key.
Pressing TAP TEMPO/NO will stop playback.

viii)You can modify the settings for key, major/minor, IC type, replay type, and
chord follow.

Use the CURSOR √ √ √ √ and ® ® ® ® keys to select the item you wish to change, and use the
TEMPO/VALUE UP and DOWN keys to modify the settings of the item.
When you finish making changes, press the START/STOP key.

If you now press the RESET/YES key, playback will begin with the chords re-assigned
according to the new settings that you have made. However, be aware that when you
press RESET/YES key, the chord progression that was recorded will be lost.
Pressing the TAP TEMPO/NO key in the above display will stop playback, and the
settings in the display will remain as you set them.
