4. Now we are ready to begin recording. Press the START/STOP key.
→1. The following display will appear.
→2. After a two-measure metronome count, the arrangement will start.
When you begin playing, your performance will be recorded just as you hear it. If
automatic accompaniment is being added, the automatic accompaniment will also be
recorded.
→ The START/STOP LED will blink in synchronization with the time signature
of the arrangement: red on the first beat, and green on other beats.
5. To stop recording, press the START/STOP key once again.
→ The BACKING SEQ REC LED will go out.
→ The measure number will return to 001.
6. Now let's playback the performance that you just recorded.
Simply press the START/STOP key once again, and the recorded performance will be
played back from the beginning.
When playback reaches the end, it will automatically stop, and you will return to mea-
sure 001.
7. If you wish to redo the recording, press the BACKING SEQ REC key to
return to the beginning of the recording procedures.
Simply repeat the procedure from step 4 to re-record as many times as you wish.

Saving your recorded performance

If you now turn off the power of the C-900, the performance you just recorded in Back-
ing Sequence mode will be lost.
If you wish to keep your recorded performance, you will need to save the musical
data to floppy disk.
