8.7.4.3 Knife Up Proximity Switch (Knfup)
Go to the Maintenance Mode and select Knife Adjust, the Knife Down. Press and hold both cut
buttons until the knife and clamp are on the table and the hydraulics shut off. Turn the power switch
off and lockout power, page 6. Open the front guard (if equipped) and the top hood.
Adjust the knife up proximity switch (Figure 34) by loosening the two mounting screws and sliding the
switch closer to the knife bar. The gap between the switch and the knife bar should be 1/32" - 1/16"
(0.5mm - 1.5mm). Turn the power back on and when the knife is in it's full up position the proximity
should not be on. If it is, lower the switch until it goes off.
8.7.4.4 Hydraulic Clamp Up Proximity Switch (Hydup)
Make sure the clamp and knife are in the up position. Turn the power switch off and lockout power,
page 6. Remove the lower front panel.
Adjust the hydraulic clamp up proximity switch (Figure 35
screws and sliding the switch plate up or down. The gap between the switch and the actuator plate
should be 1/32" to 1/16" (0.5 to 1.5 mm). The knife may need to be run down several times to make
this adjustment.
