Network Connection and Printing Troubleshooting
Cause
The Wireless LAN Board is
communicating in the
emergency startup mode.
Cause
Hardware error.
Incorrect wireless LAN
settings.
Cause
Unsupported EAP type
received.
Invalid certificate.
Time not set.
Received invalid
authentication packet.
Authentication rejected by
authentication server.
Remedy
Update the firmware and start the correct
firmware. (See "Updating the Firmware,"
on p. 4-9.) If the Wireless LAN Board still
does not work after updating the firmware,
contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

in a Network," to confirm whether the
wireless LAN settings are correct.

Set the EAP type of the access point to the

and "WPA/WPA2-PSK Settings," on p. 2-27
to set a valid certificate.
Set the time. (See e-Manual > Settings/
Registration.)
