Network Connection and Printing Troubleshooting

When you cannot communicate with the product, such as when you cannot print
from a computer, confirm the following.
If [Extension Card Settings] is not displayed on the External Interface screen:
there may be a hardware error in the Wireless LAN Board. Refer to "If the
Extension Card Settings Screen Is Not Displayed," on p. 3-5.
If [Extension Card Settings] is displayed on the External Interface screen: the
wireless LAN settings may be incorrect. Refer to "If the Extension Card Settings
Screen Can Be Displayed," on p. 3-6, and "Error Messages," on p. 3-7.
If the Extension Card Settings Screen Is Not Displayed
If the Extension Card Settings screen cannot be displayed or the ERR2 indicator is
not lit, there may be a problem with the hardware, contact your local authorized
Canon dealer.
If the ERR2 indicator is lit or flashes, refer to the table below to confirm the status of
the ERR2 indicator and resolve the problem.

The firmware is not started.

Remedy
Update the firmware and start the correct
firmware. (See "Updating the Firmware,"
on p. 4-9.) If the Wireless LAN Board still
does not work after updating the firmware,
contact your local authorized Canon dealer.

not light when the security settings are
