  • Page 5 WORK AREA SAFETY 1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. 2. Keep children and bystanders away while using the Wheelbarrow. Distractions can cause you to lose control. PERSONAL SAFETY 1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when using the Wheelbarrow. Do not use this product while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while using the Wheelbarrow may result in serious personal injury. 2. Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, and heavy duty work gloves used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. 3. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the Wheelbarrow in unexpected situations. 4. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts. TOOL USE & CARE 1. Do not overload the Wheelbarrow. Use the correct product for your application. The correct product will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. 2. Store idle tools out of the reach of children and do not allow people unfamiliar with the Wheelbarrow or these instructions to operate the tool. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. 3. Maintain the Wheelbarrow. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the tool’s operation. If damaged, have the Wheelbarrow repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools. 4. Use the Wheelbarrow in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for this particular type of tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the Wheelbarrow for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
  • Page 6 SPECIFIC SAFETY 1. Maintain labels on the Wheelbarrow. These carry important safety information. 2. Never carry out alterations or modifications to this product. 3. When using the Wheelbarrow, maintain a firm grip on the tool with both hands to avoid accidental tipping. 4. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of children. Never allow children to ride in the Wheelbarrow. 5. Do not exceed the maximum load capacity (90 litres or 150kgs) of this Wheelbarrow. Be aware of dynamic loading. Suddenly swinging or dropping a load may briefly create excess load, causing product failure and/or personal injury. 6. When stacking loads, ensure that the height of the stack does not extend above the tub. 7. Do not use this Wheelbarrow to carry people or animals. 8. Do not use wheelbarrow on uneven ground & do not run over curbs or steps, use a ramp. 9. Do not use the wheelbarrow if any part is damaged. 10. Always load the Wheelbarrow evenly to avoid tipping. 11. Do not run when using the Wheelbarrow. 12. The warnings, precautions, and instructions in this manual cannot cover all possible conditions or situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense & caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. SAFE LIFTING 1. Think before lifting/handling. Plan the lift. Where is the load going to be placed? Will help be needed with the load? Remove obstructions. For a long lift, consider resting the load midway to change grip. 2. Adopt a stable position. The feet should be apart with one leg slightly forward to maintain balance. Be prepared to move your feet during the lift to maintain your stability. Avoid tight clothing or unsuitable footwear, which may make this difficult.

  • Page 11 CLEANING & MAINTENANCE WARNING Damaged tools can fail, causing serious personal injury. Do not use damaged tools. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. 1) Before each use, inspect the general condition of the Wheelbarrow. Check for loose bolts, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts & any other condition that may affect its safe operation. 2) After each use, thoroughly clean the Wheelbarrow using clean water. Do not use solvents. Then dry. 3) Periodically add a few drops of lubricating Multipurpose oil or grease to the wheel bearings 4) When storing, keep the Wheelbarrow in a clean, dry, safe location out of reach of children and other unauthorized people.
  • Page 12 GJ HANDY & CO LTD USER WARRANTY POLICY 1. Users Statement of Warranty Each new machine is warranted against defective material or assembly of material under normal usage. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and covers faulty parts and the labour involved in replacing and repairing those parts, which are of original manufacture. 2. Period of Warranty All Webb, Handy Pro (Brushcutter & Long Handle Hedgecutter only) and Sanli products (a) 2 years from the original date of sale to the first domestic user. (b) 90 days from the original date of sale to the professional/commercial user. (c) 90 days from the original date of sale when used for hire. (d) Engines as per the manufacturer’s warranty statement which will be supplied with the machine. (e) 1 year from the original date of purchase for Replacement Spare Parts (unless normal wear & tear component, which are covered for 90 days). (f) All machines’ must be serviced within the first 12 months from the original date of purchase to comply with the warranty, failure to do so will invalidate the 2 year of the warranty. (g) A reduced warranty period of ninety days applies to those items which are subject to normal wear and tear (e.g. wheels, tyres, cutter bars, cylinders, bottom blades, belts, cables, grass bags, spark plugs). All Handy, Handy Pro (All others), Mowerland and Q-Garden products (a) 1 year from the original date of sale to the first domestic user. (b) 90 days from the original date of sale to the professional/commercial user. (c) 90 days from the original date of sale when used for hire. (d) Engines as per the manufacturer’s warranty statement which will be supplied with the machine. (e) 1 year from the original date of purchase for Replacement Spare Parts (unless normal wear & tear component, which are covered for 90 days).

Not covered by this warranty (a) The warranty policy does not cover any depreciation or damages caused by ordinary wear, rusting or corrosion, lack of correct maintenance or operation, misuse, abuse, lack of transportation or accident. (b) The warranty policy does not cover any costs necessary for the standard periodic maintenance services instructed by the operators manual, or service parts replacement which would include oil, filters, tyres, belts, brake linings, fuses, blades, seals and other service parts unless it can be proven that the item has evidence of faulty manufacture. (c) The warranty policy will not cover failure or damage caused as a result of parts or accessories being modified without the written approval of GJ Handy & Co Ltd. (d) The warranty policy will not cover the unit if non-genuine parts have been fitted and as a result damage has occurred to the unit. (e) The warranty policy is non-transferable and is only applicable to the original purchaser. 4. Disclaimer (a) This warranty is only a remedy for defect of products. GJ Handy & Co Ltd will never warranty in terms of the merchantability or the fitness for a particular purpose. (b) No person is authorised to make any warranties, representations or promises, expressed or implied, on behalf of GJ Handy & Co Ltd, or to modify the terms conditions or limitation of this warranty policy in any way. (c) Neither GJ Handy & Co Ltd nor any company affiliated with GJ Handy & Co Ltd shall be liable in any event or manner whatsoever for incidental or consequential damages or injuries, including, but not limited to, loss of crops, loss of profit, out of pocket expenses or profits, rental of substitute equipment or other commercial losses. 5. General (a) Most warrantable failures show up within the first few weeks of use. These failures are usually straightforward and warranty assessment is relatively easy.
