• Blood glucose results can be displayed in either mg/dL or mmol/L. The back label of the meter
shows the unit of measurement. If the meter shows the wrong unit, contact the Accu‑Chek Customer
Care Service Center at 1‑800‑858‑8072. If you do not know which unit of measurement is correct
for you, contact your healthcare professional. Using the wrong unit of measurement may cause
misinterpretation of your actual blood glucose level and may lead to improper therapy.

Your Accu-Chek Guide meter may show an error message after changing the batteries due to several reasons:

1. Incorrect Battery Installation – Ensure the new batteries are correctly inserted with the (+) side facing up and properly positioned under the black tabs.
2. Expired or Low-Quality Batteries – Use two new, unexpired CR2032 lithium coin cell batteries of the same brand.
3. Incomplete Battery Replacement – Always replace both batteries at the same time.
4. Battery Compartment Not Secure – Ensure the battery door is fully closed and snapped into place.
5. Meter Needs Reset – Try removing the batteries, waiting a few minutes, and reinserting them.

If the issue persists, perform a control test to check accuracy. If problems continue, contact Accu-Chek Customer Care.
