Mounting the Unit
CAUTION: Installation and service must be performed by authorized personnel only.
The 1U high, half-rack width unit can be placed on a tabletop, mounted on a rack shelf, or
mounted under or through a desk or other furniture.
Tabletop Placement
Affix the four included rubber feet to the bottom of the unit and place it in any convenient
location.
Rack Mounting
UL guidelines
The following Underwriters Laboratories (UL) guidelines pertain to the installation of the
FOX SW8 into a rack (see figure 2).

Repeat steps 2 to 8 as needed to relabel other buttons.

Elevated operating ambient — If installed in a closed or multi-unit rack assembly,
the operating ambient temperature of the rack environment may be greater than room
ambient. Therefore, consider installing the equipment in an environment compatible
with the +122 °F (+50 °C) maximum ambient temperature (Tma) specified by Extron
