Troubleshooting
This section describes possible problems and solutions for
Windows users. If you have a problem that is not described in
this section, visit the Sierra Wireless support page at
www.sierrawireless.com/support.
TRU-Install software installation does not start
automatically
If Watcher installation does not start after you insert the
modem:

Double‐click
(Windows Vista, Windows 7) on your desktop.
TRU-Install

Click the
TRU-Install
3.
Under the
Setup.exe
double‐click
install the software.
PC Card slot no longer works after you remove the
AirCard modem (with PC Card adapter) from the laptop
If your laptop does not recognize that you have removed the
modem with PC Card adapter, you may have to restart your
laptop to restore PC Card slot operation.
In the future, before you remove the modem with PC Card
Safely Remove Hardware
adapter, click the
system tray, then select the modem.
Modem is not detected after TRU-Install installation
completes
You successfully complete the TRU‐Install installation process,
but Watcher does not detect the modem:
Start
1.
Click

TRU-Install
2.
Double‐click
3.
When you are prompted to switch to modem mode, click
OK
.
4.
Wait for Watcher to detect the modem.
5.
If the modem still is not detected, connect to the Internet
using another method and go to
www.sierrawireless.com/support for assistance.
The Windows Installer fails
When you try to install or uninstall Watcher, the message
Windows Installer is not accessible
appears.
