Base Station (BS) LBB 6730/01
7.1 Functional description
Base stations are radio transmitters/receivers that make wireless communication possible
with the handset(s). The base stations must be mounted on the locations determined by
the coverage test. The data transmission and power providing between the base station
and the DCU has to be done by use of an unshielded twisted pair cable with a
maximum length of 2 km. If possible old cable wiring may be used.
Features of the base station
• Supports antenna diversity
• Supports handover between the RF channels under the same base station
• Can handle four DECT speech channels simultaneously
• Frame synchronise with other base stations under the same DECT control unit (DCU)
