Repeater LBB 6734/01 (Euro) and LBB 6734/11 (UK)

9.1 Functional description

Repeaters are used to extend the coverage area of base stations. The location of the
repeater is determined by the coverage test. A repeater is a separate unit having no
physical connection to the DECT6000 system and is delivered with its own power
supply. Communication between the repeater and the DCU is done via one of the four
channels of the base station connected to the DECT control unit (DCU). This base
station channel is occupied during conversation via the repeater. In the coverage area of
the repeater, the repeater can handle two speech channels simultaneously. In case the
repeater
is inside the coverage area of the base station
required (situation 1). If the repeater
antenna

between the base station and the repeater can be extended up to 1000 metres depending
on environmental conditions.
Note
Both the base station and the repeater have a coverage area with a
radius of approx. 30 to 75 metres depending on building material.
