Transmitting the Setup Data

Return to the very beginning of the song on your computer or MIDI sequencer, and get into
the recording mode.

While holding down the MIDI button, press the number 7 button to send the GM Setup Data,
or press the number 8 button to send the GS Setup Data.

The above appears in the display, asking you to confirm your choice.

With your finger still on the MIDI button, once again press the number 7 button if it is the GM
Setup Data you want to send, or press the number 8 button to send the GS Setup Data.

The unit will be busy sending the data while the above is shown in the display.

When the original screen appears in the display, stop recording on your computer or MIDI
sequencer.
When recording your music, be sure to begin after the initial portion where the Setup Data is
recorded.
* Note that if you have made of any types of data normally not included in the Setup Data
(NRPNs, Exclusive data, etc.) during creation of your songs in order to place the sound
generator at an appropriately altered state, the use of solely the Setup Data will not be enough
to recreate these settings when playback takes place. You will need to supply the additional
data which alters the sound generator at the beginning of your song.
