factory that connects to the junction box. Route
this cable through one of the small strain reliefs
in the bottom of the junction box.
16.4.3 Important The following wiring con-
nections must be done correctly. Damage to the
power booster, transmit/receive PCB or console
may result if incorrectly wired.
There are two types of transmitter/receiver boards for the
HD800 sonar. The two types of boards are the same with
the exception of the terminal strips. The earlier board has
one terminal strip, TB2 where both the soundome cable,
interconnect cable and power booster wires are connected
to. In this confi guration some terminals have two wires
going to the same terminal. The later board has two ter-
minal strips, TB2 and TB1. By using two terminal strips
there is more room to make the connections if a bower
booster is used.
Wiring a power booster to the one terminal strip T/R
board.
1) Remove the red wire #4 from the terminal and
connect it to the unused terminal labeled NC on
TB2 (between #5 & #19). This red wire is from
the interconnect cable.
2) The power booster has six wires in the cable.
Five of the wires are numbered, #1, #2, #3, #4,
#20. Connect each of the number wires to the
same number on the terminal strip TB2.
3) The sixth wire from the power booster is labeled
with a (+) sign. Connect this wire to the terminal
labeled NC.
Wiring a power booster to the two terminal strip T/R
board.
1) Remove the red wire #4 from the terminal strip
on TB2 and connect it to the terminal labeled
TERM #4 on TB1.
2)
Connect all six wires from the power booster to
TB1. Each wires is labeled and connects to the
same numbered terminal on TB1. One wire is
marked with a (+) and is connected to the termi-
nal marked with a (+) on TB1.
