Note: There are two sets of numbers in the FAR box.
Numbers to the right correspond to the sonar Far Gain
control located on the right side of the front panel.
5.3 Range (Sonar)
The Range control selects the scanning distance of the
soundbeam. There are 10 available ranges. The range
selected is displayed at the top left of the screen in the
RANGE box control located on the right side of the
front panel.

PROFILE "B" GAIN/RANGE
ADJUSTMENTS
6.1 Near Gain (Profi le)
Rotating this multi-turn control clockwise will increase
sensitivity of the profi le sonar for the fi rst half of the
profi le range. Near Gain values 0-100 are displayed to
the left of the screen in the box titled NEAR.
Note: There are two sets of numbers in the Near Box.
The numbers to the left correspond to the profi le Near
Gain Control, located on the left side of the front panel.
6.2 Far Gain (Profi le)
Rotating this multi-turn control clockwise will increase
sensitivity of the profi le sonar for the last half of the
profi le range. Far Gain values 0-100 are displayed to
the left of the screen in the box titled FAR.

Gain control located on the left side of the front panel.
6.3 Range (Profi le)
The RANGE Control selects the vertical scanning dis-
tance of the profi le soundbeam. There are 10 available
ranges. The RANGE selected is displayed on the profi le
screen to the left of the bottom range line.
