Change the phone's configuration to use the Polycom CMA system for

provisioning. Refer to

Once the VVX 1500 D phone is provisioned by a Polycom CMA system,
future phone software upgrades are managed by the Polycom CMA
system as well.

You can also set up the VVX 1500 D phone in a "hybrid" system where the VVx
1500 phones can be provisioned by both a Polycom CMA system and a
provisioning server. In this scenario, you should review the configuration

Connecting the Polycom VVX 1500 D phone to the network is optional, but highly
recommended (for the reasons discussed at the beginning of this chapter).
