Door release lever
The doors and the tailgate can also be locked with the driver's door
release lever. To do this, pull or press the lever in the direction
shown (see illustration). However, the added security mechanism,
the passenger door and rear door release levers do not affect the
other locking areas. These levers only lock or unlock the one door.
The driver's door cannot be locked by pressing the locking knob
down as long as the door is open. This is to prevent you from
locking yourself out.
The doors can be opened with the release levers. First press the
release lever in and then pull to open the door.

Controls and equipment
If the driver's door is n n o o t t properly closed (on the catch), it is not
possible to lock the vehicle. The driver's door must be opened and
then closed again properly. The doors can then be locked.
