If the warning lamp for brakes flashes while the warning lamp for

ABS comes on the ABS system may be malfunctioning and the

normal brake system behavior may be altered.

For further information on the ABS system

The EDS and ABS system work together. If the EDS does not work

the ABS warning lamp will light up. This warning lamp will also

light up if the ASR and ESP fail. The vehicle should be taken to a

Technical Service Centre as soon as possible.

The corresponding warning is:

"HAND BRAKE SET".

The warning lamp lights up if the h h a a n n d d b b r r a a k k e e i i s s s s e e t t and the

ignition is switched on. It will disappear when the hand brake is

released. If not, there is a failure in the brake system.
