Caller ID suppression, external (
Before dialing an external number you can suppress the display of the caller's
telephone number and name on the called party's screen.
Central COS change (
You can lock other telephones to prevent unauthorized use, and unlock them
again.
Conference, Five-party(
You can add additional parties to a call.
Consultation hold (
You can call a second party while engaged in a call.
DISA (Direct Inward System Access)
From an external location you can activate and deactivate functions in your
system in the same way as an internal party. From an external location, you
can also set up outgoing external calls via your system.
Do not disturb (
You can temporarily suppress calls (silent ringing).
Door opener function - activate (
You can allow a visitor to activate the door opener by entering a code.
DTMF dialing (dual-tone multifrequency dialing, also called tone dialing),
DTMF suffix dialing (
You can transmit DTMF signals during a call, for exampleto access an answer-
ing machine.
Handsfree answer (
Whenever somebody calls you directly via your telephone's speaker you can
answer hands-free.
Hotline (automatic connection setup)
Your telephone can be configured so that a connection to a definable destina-
tion is made either immediately or after a certain time (time-dependent hot-
line) after you lift the handset.
Hunt group/group call (
If you belong to a group of users who can be reached under a common tele-
phone number in the hunt group/group call, you can leave the group and then
join it again. Calls to the hunt group/group call are not signaled at a station
which has left the group.
Hunt group = the telephones ring one after the other.
Group call = the telephones ring simultaneously.
Log on CMI unit (not for U.S.) (
In order to log on with a CMI unit (cordless telephone) you must place your
system in readiness to log on.

Mute on/off (
You can deactivate the microphone, for example in order to consult another
person in the room without the caller hearing the conversation.
MSN trunk forwarding
(Only in multi-device connections with Release 2.2 and later, not for the
U.S.)
You can forward your assigned MSN (DID number) directly to an external des-
tination in the public network.
