7.7.2. Configuration

UNIT
Back up – Back up saves the active configuration into a backup file in the unit.
Restore – configuration saved in the backup file in the unit is activated and the unit reboots itself.
Factory settings – Sets the factory defaults and activates them. Neighbours, Statistic and
Graphs databases are cleared including their histories. The unit reboots afterwards.
The following items are NOT cleared when the Factory settings are applied:
1.
Admin password
2.
Technical support package
3.
Firmware archive
4.
Configuration backup
5.
SSL certificate (when your own certificate is used)
6.
Remote access keys (when User key is used)
7.
Folder /home/... in Linux
When you need to reset the device access parameters (the login, password, Ethernet IP
etc.) to defaults, press the RESET button on the bottom-side of RipEX enclosure for 15 sec.
See the User manual for details.
Total purge – sets the very same settings as when the device was delivered from the factory.
I.e. Factory settings as above is applied and the flash memory is also totally cleared. I.e. the
"not cleared" items in Factory settings are cleared by Total purge. The whole operation takes
approx. 5 mins. and the unit is rebooted afterwards.
FILE
Save to file – saves the active configuration into a file.
Configuration can be uploaded from a file. Fill in the Configuration file, or browse your disk in
order to find the file. When a file is selected, it can be uploaded.
Upload – uploads configuration from the selected file and activates it. The unit reboots itself
afterwards.
