Deactivating airbags*

Disabling front passenger airbag
If you fit a rear-facing child seat to the front passenger seat,
the front passenger front and side airbags must be disabled.
When the passenger airbag is deactivated, this means that only the
frontal airbag is deactivated. All the other airbags in the vehicle
remain functional.

– Switch off ignition.
– Turn the ignition switch in the key operated switch in the glove
box to the position OFF
– Check that the warning lamp "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" in the
dash panel
switched on.
Enabling front passenger airbag
– Switch off ignition.
– Turn the ignition switch in the key-operated switch in the glove
box to the position ON
