MISCELLANEOUS LUBRICA nON POINTS
1,000 MILES-DOOR HINGES, HOOD HINGES, LOCKS and other hard to
lubricate
places.
Use MOPAR Dripless Penetrating Oil. DOOR STRIKER PLATES
AND
DOVETAILS.
Use MOPAR Door-Ease Lubricant. DOOR LOCK CYLINDERS·
Use
Lubriplate.
10,000 MILES-SPEEDOMETER. Two or three drops of No. lOW Engine Oil
should be applied to the oil hole in the housing above the cable Aange. Every
20,000 miles the speedometer cable shauld be disconnected at the instrument,
the shaft removed and coated with Semi-Auid Chassis Lubricant or other suitable
lubricant.
POINTS REQUIRING NO LUBRICA nON
THE CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING AND THE STARTER require no
lubrication.
SPECIAL ATTENTION
Trucks operated principally on gravel or dusty roads may
need lubrication attention more frequently than recom-
mended in this manual and should be serviced accordingly.
WARNING I CARBON MONOXIDE GAS
The exhaust gases from all motor vehicles are highly dan-
gerous. While carbon monoxide gas is colorless, tasteless
and odorless, it is extremely poisonous. Never start or t'un
an
engine in
a
closed garage.
