8. Basic Setups

This chapter describes the most common possible setups and use cases.
8.1 Using the AUDIO 8 DJ as system's standard audio device
Using the AUDIO 8 DJ as standard sound card of your operating system will bring brilliance
in your living room when listening to music or watching DVDs via your computer.

8.1.1 Using the AUDIO 8 DJ in Windows

Open Start > Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices.
Click on the Audio tab.
As Default Device for Sound Playback, choose one of the available channel pairs of
the AUDIO 8 DJ, e.g. AUDIO 8 DJ (CH. D, Out 7|8).
Make sure the volume controls of the amplifier are completely turned down!
Plug a RCA cable into o
of your amplifier.
Open an available music file or sound of your computer. It should get played back via
the AUDIO 8 DJ now.

8.2.1 Using the AUDIO 8 DJ in Mac OS X
