F2. Relation between ISA100 PV Data
Status and PROFINET IOxS
Figure F2-1 depicts the various statuses in YFGW410 and the relation between them. The
dashed rounded rectangle part depicts PROFINET related status i.e. PROFINET IOxS and
ISA100 PV data status stored in PROFINET slot/subslot.
The PROFINET interface sets "Good" value to the DataStatus bit of IOxS when the correspond-
ing ISA100 device joined and started to send/receive publish. The PROFINET interface sets
"Bad" value to the DataStatus bit of IOxS when the corresponding ISA100 device does not join or
not start to send/receive publish (or the device reached to its stale limit).
The PROFINET interface does not change/override the PV data status. PROFINET IO Controller
should use PV data only when its data status is "Good".
IOxS of BATTERY_LIFE is affected by device join/leave condition. The PROFINET interface sets
"Good" value to the DataStatus bit of IOxS when the corresponding ISA100 device joined. Note
that the value of BATTERY_LIFE may appear as 0 until after the PROFINET interface gets the
value of BATTERY_LIFE from the corresponding ISA100 device.
IOxS of GW_STATUS and BBR_STATUS are not affected by device/BBR join/leave condition.
