RROR MESSAGES

11 ERROR MESSAGES

Under certain conditions the Covermeter will display error messages (Figure
19). These messages are normally cleared by pressing any one of the softkeys.
The cause of the error will be indicated by the message and should be corrected
before proceeding.
Error message

#2 - PROBE
#3 - PROBE
#4 - PROBE
#5 - PROBE

UNSUPPORTED
PROBE
CHANGED
VALUE TOO
LARGE
CLOCK
LANGUAGE
MEMORY
* Contact Elcometer or your Elcometer Supplier to arrange return.

Search head-to-gauge
communication failure.
Corrupt data output from
probe.
Internal error.
Search head power supply
fault.
Internal error.
Old Covermeter software
does not support new
search head.
Probe has been changed
and is not compatible with
current batch.
Numerical error.
Internal error.
Software error.
Action to take
Remove search head and refit.
If error persists, return to Elcometer*.
Try new search head.
If error persists, return to Elcometer*.
Return to Elcometer*.
Remove probe. If error persists, the
Covermeter is faulty. If error clears,
the probe is faulty.
Return faulty part to Elcometer*.
Remove search head and refit.
If error persists, return to Elcometer*.
Return to Elcometer* for software
upgrade.
Change to probe used when batch
was created.
Switch Covermeter off then on again.
If error persists contact Elcometer.
Return to Elcometer*.
Return to Elcometer*.
