Basic Operation

4.1

Switch the Telephone On/Off

Prerequisite, the telephone is switched off:

Press and hold
When pressing

A control question "Switch on?" is displayed. Confirm by pressing "Yes".
Prerequisite, the telephone is in idle mode:

A control question "Switch off?" is displayed. Confirm by pressing "Yes".

Turn the Audible Signal On/Off

Note: If the parameter Disable permanent mute is enabled, the user cannot turn off the
audible signal. See Configuration Manual, Cordless Telephones 3740/3749 for Avaya, TD
92657GB.
The telephone is in idle mode:

Lock/Unlock the Keypad

To prevent accidentally pressing keys and making a call, the keys can be locked. See also
7.8.2 Phone Lock settings
Note: It is possible to answer/end a call while the keypad is locked. If configured in the PDM/
AIWS, it is also possible to call an emergency call while the keypad is locked. Configuration
