To
use with
an answering machine
and
computer,
we recommend
the
following setup.
Always connect
the
fax
machine
directly to
the
wall jack.
Note:
•
Set the
TEL mode
on
the fax
machine.
•
The
device
which has
the shortest
ring
count
will
answer
a
cail
first.
Confirm
the
ring
count
for
each
device.
•
If
you use
your
computer
as
an answering machine, connect
the
telephone
line
cord from the
EXT
jack
on
the
back
of
the fax
machine
to
the
computer.
