Using an Allen key, loosen the set screws at the end-of-probe weight. Note: The set
screws have got a clamping coating in order to prevent accidental loosening. Thus an
increased torque might be necessary to loosen them.
2.
Remove released rope from the weight.
3.
Measure off new rope length.
4.
Wrap adhesive tape around the rope at the point to be shortened to prevent it from
fanning out.
5.
Saw off the rope at a right angle or cut it off with a bolt cutter.
6.
Insert the rope completely into the weight.
7.
Screw the set screws into place. Due to the clamping coating of the setscrews application
of a screw locking fluid is not necessary.
