LED indications

The LED indicates your Brother machine's status.

Green
Blinking green
Blinking red

Machine status messages

The following table explains the machine's status messages during normal operation:

Meaning
The machine is OFF.
The machine is ON.
The machine is initializing or in Power Saving Mode.
There is a problem with the machine.
Meaning
This shows the currently selected function number.
The machine is ready to scan.
Where XXXXX is the document scan count.
The machine is scanning.
Where XXXXX is the current document scan count.
The machine is cancelling the current scan job.
