HRI6E OPTIONAL LOG SET INSTALLATION

Read the instructions below carefully and refer to the images. If the logs are broken do not use the unit until they are replaced. Broken
logs can interfere with pilot operation.
Improper positioning of the logs and glass crystals may create carbon build-up and can alter the unit's performance which is not cov-
ered under warranty.
*For Touch Ups: Dark Brown paint is included.
Note: This Log installation is for NG units only.
1 Rear Centre Log
2 Centre Right Front Angled Log Piece
3 Right Forked Upright Log
4 Left Angled Upright Log
5 Left Angled Cross Log
6 Right Front Angled Log Piece
7 Centre Left Front Angled Log Piece
Rear Log Bracket (HRI6E/HRI4E units)
Pilot shield (HRI4E units only)

Glass/Beads quantities with Log installation

Note: If glass previously installed - remove 2lbs to equal above quantity.
Ensure unit is cooled to room temperature and remove glass door.
1. HRI4E Unit only.
Remove burner (see manual for instructions).
Remove existing pilot shield by removing 2 screws.
Install pilot shield provided with Log Set using 2 screws from
previous pilot shield. Reinstall burner.
New Pilot Shield - HRI4E Only
2. Both HRI4E & HRI6E Units.
Sweep glass aside from pilot covers (if already installed) to install
Rear Log Bracket, clip the front edge of the rear bracket on to rear of
the burner as shown below.
IMPORTANT: After the Rear Log Brackets are installed glass crystals
must be reapplied. Glass crystals should not be higher then the bottom
of the pilot screen cover as shown in diagram 3. Pilot area needs to be
clear to allow proper ignition as shown in diagram 3.

NOTE: HRI4E shown above. The HRI6 pilot (not shown) is located on
the left hand side.
Reapply glass crystals on burner as shown below.
Do not apply any glass crystals over the pilot/burner
screen cover. This must remain free and clear and
is required for air fl ow.
