4.6 RS485 Communication
The RS485 serial interface is used for networked sensors or for long distances up to 1200 m (4000 ft).
This allows ample distance from the harsh environment where the sensing system is mounted to a
control room or pulpit where the computer is located.
4.6.1 PC Connection via USB/RS485 Converter
The USB/RS485 converter is self-powering via the USB connection.
