2.3.4 Installation of �lat grey cable – revisions MAR93 and 2004
For motherboard revisions MAR93 and 2004, cut the end of the �lat
ribbon cable off as close as possible to the end of the connector using a
pair of scissors.
Cut, strip, and tin the following wire numbers as shown below. Pin 1 is
the red stripe and increases away from the red stripe in numerical order
Pin 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15.
Cut back the unused wires in the cable.
Solder the pins to the following locations on the motherboard as shown
below. It is best to "J-Hook" the wire to each location to provide a good
mechanical connection as well as a good electrical connection once
soldered.
