13.5 Pressure Gauge: The pointer on the gauge indicates the pressure within the boiler and
central heating system and should, when the water is cold, read 1.5bar but may be between
1 and 2bar.
If the pressure gauge falls below 1bar the system and boiler must be re-pressurised.
If there is a signifi cant loss in pressure the boiler will lock out. The system may be re-
charged by opening the fi lling loop to charge the system back up to 1.5bar (when cold) as
indicated on the pressure gauge DO NOT OVERCHARGE THE BOILER PRESSURE BEYOND
2BAR AS THE BOILER WILL NOT OPERATE. The fi lling loop, a fl exible hose with two valves,
should be located below the boiler connecting the second pipe on the right to either one
of the outer pipes, see fi gure 2. DO NOT CLOSE ANY OF THE THREE SERVICE VALVES
CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO THE BOILER. If the boiler frequently loses pressure then your
installer should be consulted. Failure to have leakage repaired may cause corrosion within
your heating system.

Timer
The operational time periods may be set as follows:
Rotate the clock actuator mechanism clockwise, by hand, until the arrow indicates the
current time, see fi gure 21. The example shows the current time is set at 21:05.
The time is set in 24 hour format, e.g. the time for 1pm would be 13.
Select the boiler "On" times by pushing the black tappets to the outside.
Select the 'Off' times by pushing the black tappets towards the
centre of the clock.
[ 1 ] A time clock
allowing the automatic
switching 'On' and 'Off'
of
the central heating
is fi tted as standard.
