9.8 On connecting the mains electrical supply to the boiler, it is essential to ensure that
electrical safety checks for earth continuity, earth resistance, polarity and short circuit are
carried out prior to making the fi nal connection. A diagram of the boiler's electrical circuit is
given as fi gure 8.
