    Choosing a location Choosing a height Mounting the SMART kapp iQ board requires a team of professional installers. The following information is for installers. Installers should read this information along with the installation instructions included with the board before they mount the board.

    Do not over-tighten the screws. NOTE SMART recommends M8 × 30 mm mounting screws for standard installations where the total wall mount bracket and washer thickness is less than 7 mm. Because the receptacles might not be easily accessible after the installers mount the board, consider connecting cables for power, computers and other devices while the board is still in its packaging (see Chapter 3: Connecting power and devices on page 15).

    MOUNTING THE BOARD Mounting multiple boards SMART recommends that you mount no more than three boards side by side. If you mount multiple boards side by side, install them as shown in the following diagram. This ensures the boards’ cameras don’t interfere with each other.

Updates to SMART software could include a firmware update in the form of a downloaded firmware executable file. When the board detects this executable file, you’re prompted to run the file to update the firmware.

    SMART Product Update (SPU) is included in SMART Product Drivers and SMART Ink. SPU periodically checks for updates to SMART Product Drivers and SMART Ink posted on the SMART website. You can configure SPU to prompt users to install updates or to install updates automatically.
