Checking the total playing
time/titles (DVD/VIDEO CD/
CD/MD)
Press DISPLAY on the remote in stop
mode.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:

The number of titles is displayed when playing a
DVD.

With CD TEXT discs only (certain characters
cannot be displayed). Depending on the disc, some
CD TEXT information may not appear.

When the Group Function is on, the total number
of groups (when no group is selected) or the total
number of tracks and the total playing time within
the group (when a group is selected) are displayed.
"---:--" appears when the total playing time of the
MD exceeds 1,000 minutes.

Press SCROLL on the remote.
Tips
• You can check the current track title during
playback. If you press SCROLL on the remote, a
track title appears scrolling in the display.
• To label a disc, tracks, and groups, see "Labelling
an MD" on page 47.
• To label the preset stations, see "Labelling the
preset stations" on page 62.
• You can check the playing time of the disc using
the Control Menu (page 23).
Note
Dependeing on the DVD, the disc information may
not be displayed.
