8 TROUBLESHOOTING

8.2 Troubleshooting

8.2.1 RUN LED is extinguished

Check that power is supplied.
Check that the capacity of the power supply module is sufficient.
Check for a watchdog timer error.
Check whether the modules are loaded normally on the base unit.
Is a module change enabled during an online module change?

8.2.2 RUN LED flickers

Check whether the module is in the offset/gain setting mode or not.

8.2.3 ERROR LED flickers

Check whether the switch 5 of the intelligent function module
switches is "other than 0".

8.2.4 ERROR LED is lit

Check for an error.

8.2.5 Disconnection detection flag has turned on

Check whether platinum temperature-measuring resistor
incompletely or not.
Check for loose terminal screws.
Check the connected platinum temperature-measuring resistor for
wire break.
Check whether the channel where no platinum temperature-
measuring resistor is connected is specified for conversion enable.

Confirm that the supply voltage of the power supply module is within
the rated range.
Calculate the current consumption of the CPU, I/O, intelligent
function and other modules loaded on the base unit, and make sure
that the power supply capacity is enough.
Check the module loading status.
Check the module loading status.
Refer to Chapter 7 and take corrective action.
After making offset/gain setting, return to the normal mode.
Set the switch 5 of the intelligent function module switches for 0.
(Refer to Section 4.5)
Check the error code and take the action given in Section 8.1.
Connect platinum temperature-measuring resistor securely.
Retighten the terminal screws within the specified torque range.
Make continuity check on platinum temperature-measuring resistor,
and platinum temperature-measuring resistor if its wire is broken.
Check the channels which are specified for conversion enable and
the channels where platinum temperature-measuring resistor are
connected, and specify conversion enable correctly.
