Some relay messaging characteristics can be modified to suit different situations using the
Front Panel Display Properties setting.
Path:
Setpoints > Device > Front Panel > Display Properties
FLASH MESSAGE TIME:
Range: 1 to 10 s in steps of 1 s
Default: 5 s
Flash messages are status, warning, error, or information messages displayed for
several seconds in response to certain key presses during programming. These
messages override any normal messages. The duration of a flash message on the
display can be changed to accommodate different reading rates.
MESSAGE TIMEOUT:
Range: 10 to 900 s in steps of 1 s
Default: 30 s
If no pushbutton has been pressed for certain period of time, the relay automatically
reverts to its default message (screen). The inactivity time is modified via this setting to
ensure messages remain on the screen long enough during programming.
SCREEN SAVER:
Range: Off, On
Default: Off
When the screen saver is set to ON, the LCD backlighting is turned off after the Message
Timeout followed by a time of 5 min, providing that no PB has been pressed and no
target messages are active. When a PB press occurs, or a target becomes active, the
LCD backlighting is turned on.
TARGET AUTO NAVIGATION:
Range: Disabled, Enabled
Default: Disabled
When the target auto navigation is set to Enabled, it will override the current menu page
and go to the target message page when a target is active.
The Active target Icon shown above, will be the only indication of active target
messages.
TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
Range: Celsius, Fahrenheit
Default: Celsius
Selects engineering unit of temperature display.
