Hitachi Mobile Hard Drive Jumper Setting

For systems with the Hitachi 6.0-GB or 12.0-GB EIDE mobile hard drive, the
factory settings for the jumper on the interface connector are shown in the
following table. The factory setting is for a single drive installed on the primary
IDE channel as a master device. The 4-pin jumper block is on the right end of
the interface connector on the drive (when looking at the rear of the drive).
Specifications for the hard drive are included in Section 9.

TEAC 24X Max Slim CD-ROM Drive Switch Settings

Switch settings for the TEAC 24X Max Slim CD-ROM drive are shown in the
following table. The factory setting is for the CD-ROM drive installed on the
IDE secondary channel as a master device. Specifications for the CD-ROM
drive are in Section 9.

BIOS Setup Utility

The system ships from the factory with the correct system parameters for the
configuration. Unless optional hardware is added, it's not necessary to run the
BIOS Setup Utility to operate the system. However, the Setup Utility should be
run to set features that customize the system, such as security features.
