6. Posibilidad de cambiar entre Celsius y Fahrenheit
Este termómetro puede mostrar los resultados de la
medición en grados Fahrenheit o Celsius. Para cambiar
la pantalla entre ºC y ºF, simplemente apague el termómetro,
presione y mantenga presionado el botón de INICIO
durante 5 segundos; Cuando deje de presionar el botón
de INICIO al cabo de 5 segundos, la escala de medición
actual (símbolo °C o °F) aparecerá parpadeando en la
pantalla. Para cambiar la escala de medición entre °C y
°F vuelva a presionar el botón de INICIO. Una vez
escogida la escala, espere 5 segundos hasta que el
termómetro esté listo automáticamente para iniciar la
medición.
7. Recuperación de 12 lecturas en el modo de memoria
Este termómetro permite recuperar las últimas 12
lecturas.
• Modo de recuperación: Con el termómetro
apagado, pulse el botón INICIO para entrar en el
modo de recuperación. Parpadea el icono de la
memoria M.
• Lectura 1 - última lectura: Pulse y suelte el botón
INICIO para recuperar la última lectura. Se visualiza
1 sólo, junto al icono de la memoria.
• Lectura 12 - lecturas sucesivas: Pulse y suelte el
botón INICIO consecutivamente para recuperar las
lecturas sucesivamente, pudiendo consultar las
últimas 12 lecturas.

• 10 short beeps will sound when the temperature is higher
than 99.5 °F (37.5 °C) in order to alert the patient that
he/she may have a fever.
• For an infant, it is best to have the child laying flat with
his head sideways so the ear is facing upwards. For an
older child or adult, it is best to stand behind and slightly
to the side of the patient.
• Always take the temperature in the same ear, since the
temperature readings may be different from the right ear
and left ear.
• Wait for a few minutes to take the ear temperature
after sleeping.
• In the following situations it is recommended that three
temperatures in the same ear be taken and the highest
one taken as the reading:
1. Newborn infants in the first 100 days.
2. Children under three years of age with a compromised
immune system and for whom the presence or absence
of fever is critical.
3. When the user is learning how to use the thermometer
for the first time until he/she has familiarized
himself/herself with the instrument and obtains
consistent readings.

6. Fahrenheit to Celsius switchable

This thermometer can display temperature measurements in either
Fahrenheit or Celsius. To switch the display between °F and °C,
simply turn OFF the unit, press and hold the ST RT button for 5
seconds. When you stop pressing the ST RT button after 5 seconds,
the current measurement scale (°F or °C icon) will be flashed on the
display. Toggle the measurement scale between °F and °C by pressing
the ST RT button again. When the measurement scale has been
chosen, wait for 5 seconds and the unit will enter the ready for
measuring mode automatically.

7. How to recall 12 readings in Memory Mode

This thermometer can recall the last 12 readings.
