Vehicle concept
With its new model series 415, Mercedes-Benz is
entering the city van segment as of 09/2012, offering
the attractive design and high standard of quality of a
genuine Mercedes-Benz vehicle at a low entry-level
price.
The vehicle will be presented in September 2012 at
the IAA in Hanover. The market launch will take place
in October 2012.
In addition to sustainability factors, which are
becoming increasingly important in the automotive
industry, particular emphasis was placed on the
following aspects during development of the Citan
• Quality
• Robustness
• Economy
• Versatility
The vehicle was developed in partnership between
Daimler and Renault.
Production will take place in the Renault plant at
Maubeuge in northern France, including a quality
check by Mercedes-Benz staff based on agreed stan-
dards.
The available body variants are (LHD or RHD vehicles):
• Panel van
• Passenger van
• Mixto
with three different wheelbases:
• 2313mm
• 2697mm
• 3081mm

• The front design is the first to bear the new "face"
of the Mercedes-Benz Vans family

• 4-cylinder diesel engine (OM607) or as of 09/10
2013 4-cylinder gasoline engine (M200) available
• Among the best in its class in terms of fuel
consumption
• High-quality cockpit with ergonomic operation and
familiar controls
• Comfortable seating arrangement with 2 seats or 5
seats
• Dynamic/comfortable suspension tuning
• Varied customization possibilities through wide-
range of special equipment
• Country-specific equipment packages
• ECO start/stop for diesel and gasoline engines
(SA)
• Shift point indicator as standard on manual
transmissions
• Aerodynamic wipers (SA)
• ESM (Energy Smart Management) (SA/standard)
• Diesel engines with low consumption
• Speed limitation of 90, 100, 110 or 130 km/h
(M13, MD2, MK0, MK2)
