Engine M200, R4 with 1.2 l displacement
Brief description
The M200 is a 4-cylinder in-line gasoline engine with
electronically controlled injection and 1.2-liter
displacement which is available with ECO start/stop
system as special equipment.
The engine has an impressively low consumption,
good torque (90% as of 1500 rpm) and low mainte-
nance costs. It will be used for the first time in the new
Citan as of 09/10 2013.
Overview of design
• Diecast aluminium housing
• Almost quadratic stroke/bore ratio
• Valves with mechanical cup tappets with DLC
coating (diamond-like carbon)
• Gasoline direct injection
• Controlled variable oil pump with two pressure
levels (2 bar under partial load, 4 bar with wide
open throttle)
