Rear compartment

The rear compartment of the Citan can be arranged
flexibly. The passenger compartment offers space for
the driver and front passenger on the panel van and
for up to three additional passengers on the rear
bench seat of the Mixto and passenger van. The func-
tional cargo area of the new Citan is also highly versa-
tile due to the various partition walls and options
which are available.
Cargo area concept
The cargo area concept of the Citan offers flexible
loading possibilities. Anchors (anchoring lugs) in the
floor and, where applicable, on the side walls can be
used to secure loads.
An optional cargo area cover for the passenger van
can be hooked into the cargo area trim on the left and
right-hand sides. This consists of two fixed covering
parts which conceal the contents of the cargo area.
There are three possible positions for the cargo area
cover:
• Top, whereby one section is folded down and can
be placed on the other section
• Bottom
• In the storage position at the rear of the rear bench
seat

Securing loads
Anchoring lugs are embedded into the floor of the
cargo area and, where applicable, into the side panels
(except passenger van) for the purpose of securing
loads. These protect the driver from the possibility of
cargo sliding around in the vehicle, while also
protecting the sidewalls, panels and cargo being
transported from damage. A rail on the side wall with
two movable anchoring lugs is also available
optionally.
