In addition to the headlamp range adjustment function which is compulsory for Germany, the headlamps also
feature the convenient "Follow Me Home" illumination function (also known as headlamp switch-off delay),
which keeps the lights on for up to two minutes after the driver leaves the vehicle. The function must be
deliberately activated via the headlamp flasher. Each actuation of the headlamp flasher switch increases the
lighting duration by 30 seconds.
Daytime running lights
The daytime running lights are integrated in the same
unit as the fog lamps in the front bumper. They are
automatically switched on when the engine is started
and improve the visibility of the vehicle for other road
users. Daytime running lights are compulsory in some
countries (e.g. Scandinavia).

Front fog lamps
If the front fog lamp special equipment option is
chosen, a different lamp with combined daytime
running lamp and front fog lamp in the bumper is used.
The reflector of the front fog lamp directs the light
over a short distance towards the front of the vehicle
and also to the left and right. This produces a wide
beam of light. The fog lamps are activated using the
rotary light switch. The headlamps must be switched
on for this.
