Backup assist
The backup assist system is an acoustic parking aid
with four ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper. An
acoustic signal sounds when reverse gear is engaged.
However, it is important to ensure that the ultrasonic
sensors are not covered e.g. by dirt, mud or snow.
The backup assist system can be deactivated via a
switch in the center console. Once the engine is
restarted, the backup assist system is reactivated.
